It’s no secret – I’m a big fan of the UK’s design demigod Chris Spooner. I’ve been in love with his grungy textures and weathered brush collections since I stumble across his blog a few years ago.
So when I saw his latest blog post, it felt like the stars aligned in a big cloud of glitz and glitter. I had just come home from an impromptu trip to look for rustic textures at my favorite craft store. I went looking for some burlap, cardstock and canvas for a rustic digital paper collection I’ve been working on, but was delighted to find a dazzling assortment of glittery, shimmery and embossed textures too. I’ve been seeing beautiful, glittery designs everywhere lately, so I bought those too.
When I arrived home from my craft store run, bags full of material for my new glittery digital papers, I sat down to check my email. There was a blog update from Chris Spooner, with a Free Glitter Effects Kit. Amazing! My glittery papers were just meant to be!
I used one of Chris’s textures as a jumping off point for my latest freebie set. My digital papers are fun example of the kind of stuff you can make his glittery textures. I highly recommend checking out the original Free Glitter Effects Kit – it’s a great download and hey, it’s free!
Included in this free glitter digital paper pack is a pink and gold chevron paper, stripe paper, 2 polka dot papers and 2 star papers. They’re seamless and high resolution, so they work as background images for printed cards or glitzy websites.
I had so much fun making these free glitter digital papers, I plan to make lots more with my own glittery textures soon. Watch for upcoming glitter frames and borders, and glittery paper sets in more colors.
As always, you may use this freebie for personal or small business projects,
but please do not sell, share or redistribute the files (even for free).
