It’s only July, but requests for Christmas items have started trickling in. I like Christmas as much as the next girl, but it’s hard to think of Winter when the sun is shining and we’re spending our weekends at the beach. Summer is so short here in Canada, the last thing I want to think about is snow!
Having spent many years in the retail business world, though, I know how fast the Christmas season sneaks up. And because my art is mainly used by designers and crafters to produce other items, it’s super important that I have holiday items available as early as possible. Through August and September, I’ll be gradually (reluctantly) shifting out of summer, through autumn, and into Christmas mode.
Gold is everywhere right now, and I bet that it’ll be even more popular for the holidays. I know it’s early, but I created a new series called “All the Glitters”, which features pattern packs highlighted with shiny foils and glitter. Eventually I plan to add Christmas imagery to this series. But for now, I thought I’d introduce the first pack as my July Freebie!
Not the C Word, Not Yet!
It’s way to early to do a Christmas freebie. WAY to early. So although I’ll be adding Christmas patterns and colors to my new “All That Glitters” series soon, the first paper pack in this series was crafted with a more general party vibe in mind. It’s called “Celebrate” because each shining, glittery gold pattern is designed for special occasions. It’s perfect for weddings, graduations or birthday parties.
Grab Your Free Gold Foil Patterns
I chose my Modern Chic color theme for the freebie because it’s a nice mix of 3 popular colors – coral pink, navy and mint – that all look great with gold. I made these pretty papers in lots of other colors too, though. I’ll be adding them to my own shop, Etsy and Creative Market as soon as possible.
These Free Gold Foil Patterns are high resolution, and completely seamless. This makes them easy to scale up and down in size, and means they’ll look great in digital or print designs.
